Biography

Xia Baolong, male, Han nationality, is a native of Tianjin Municipality. He was born in 1952, graduated from the Economy Institute of Beijing University, and joined the CPC in 1973. He is a doctor of economics. Xia held leading posts in the Hexi district of Tianjin, and served as vice-mayor of Tianjin until 2002. He was elected deputy secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee in 2003.

Xia was an alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee and is currently an alternate member of the 17th CPC Central Committee. In 2012, he became Governor of Zhejiang Province.
