Liu Jieyi, male, Han nationality, is a native of Beijing. He was born in 1954 and holds a graduate degree. He is now an Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs. Area of responsibilities include North America and Oceania, international organizations and conferences, arms control, translation and interpretation. In 2009, he became Deputy Director of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
